BOW #805
LOW SOLIDS NO-CLEAN FLUX
|
| Bow #805 is a halide
free, organic based flux with a low solids content.
It is designed for wave soldering of conventional and
SMT boards. It contains no rosin, which is an advantage
when performing electrical pin testing. Also #805 is
ideal when soldering certain types of switches with
exposed contacts. A small amount of residue that may
be left behind is non-corrosive and may be left on the
board without subsequent cleaning. Operating costs can
therefore be substantially reduced. With a higher activator
content than #802, the #805 flux is designed for surfaces
that demand a stronger flux than the typical no-clean. |
| Bow #805 may be used
in both foam and spray fluxing equipment. It may also
be applied by brushing, dipping or spraying. |

Not required. If necessary, use deionized
water at 140°F |
| As the organic solvent evaporates,
the flux becomes more concentrated (i.e. the specific
gravity of the solution increases). The consistency
of Bow #805 may be maintained by adjusting the specific
gravity with Bow #1200 Thinner. |
| Bow #805 and the companion
Bow #1200 Thinner are available in 1 pint, 1 quart,
1 gallon, 5 gallon and 55 gallon containers. They should
be stored in a cool dry place. Since this flux is flammable,
keep away from open flames and spark sources. Please
consult Material Safety Data Sheets prior to use. |
