Description
Lower Melting Range
Excellent Flow Characteristics
Superior Wetting Properties
Resistant to Water Hammer Damage
Economically Priced
Canfield’s newest lead-free solder development, SUPER FLO, is manufactured using only pure virgin metals.
It has the narrowest melting range in the well established tin/copper/silver alloy system.
It does not contain antimony, bismuth, nickel, selenium. Consequently, intermetallic compounds and their unknown effects on solder joint integrity are eliminated.
It contains tin, copper, silver, and two other proprietary additives which give this product a lower melting temperature range as well as excellent flow and wetting characteristics.
The tensile strength is similar to other lead-free alloys; however, the tensile elongation is significantly higher.
Elongation is a measure of the solders’ ductility and its ability to absorb shock. This provides more protection against the damaging effects of water hammer. SUPER FLO meets all state and federal specifications for potable water.
Application
This solder is excellent for use on brass, bronze, copper, galvanized, iron, monel, steel, stainless steel and other solderable metals that require maximum reliability of solder joints. For use in plumbing, heating, refrigeration and industrial applications.
A verifiable 50⁰ F pasty range permits easier soldering of larger diameter pipes.
