Canfield Technologies manufactures a complete line of tin/lead alloys for many applications. We are capable of making all of the industrial solder alloys available and we can custom make an alloy for your specific needs. We furnish these products in cast bar of various weights and sizes. Extruded bar is also available, but the sizes available are dependent on the alloy and die design. Babbitt Bearing Alloys
Canfield Technologies manufactures all grades of tin-based, and lead-based babbitts for the broadest range of bearing applications including steam and hydraulic turbines, electric motors, pumps, compressors, mills (rolling and ball), crushers, fans, gearboxes and mine hoists. Additionally, Canfield's babbitt metals are widely used by the electronic industry for spraying and coating resistors, capacitors and other passive components. All Canfield's babbitt bearing alloys are tested for tin, antimony, lead, copper, iron, arsenic, bismuth, zinc, aluminum and cadmium to ensure that all products meet ASTM B-23 or your demanding specification. Babbitt is available in bars, ingots and wire of every diameter on #25 reels and #250 Pay-Off Paks. Note: Other babbitt compositions available upon request.

LEAD WOOL
Long, fine, uniform strands of chemical grade lead are used in the manufacture of Lead Wool, which is then twisted into 5/8 rope for use in lead shielding and caulking. Certified to meet ASTM B-29. Lead Wool is preferred for caulking joints because it requires no heat and does not contract upon cooling as does a poured joint. Available in 5 lb. boxes, packed 50 lb. per carton.

CAULKING LEAD
Canfield's Caulking Lead is manufactured using only the highest grade lead. It is available in 25 lb. ingots which contain 5 lb. sections per strip.

SHEET LEAD
Used for building, industrial, waterproofing and shielding requirements. Manufactured from 99.5% lead or better. Standard sheets and rolls available as well as custom cuts.
