60/40 Tin & Lead Solder

Description:

60% Tin / 40% Lead is used for soldering copper foils and came seams. The narrow pasty range, or melting range gives the user a smoother bead. 60/40 is a superior flowing solder and is the most popular of the tin/lead alloys for stained glass.

Technical Data:

  • Color: Gray/Silver
  • Melting Range: 361° - 376° F (solid to liquid)
  • Shear Strength: 5700 psi
  • Tensile Strength: 6400 psi
